MORE ABOUT THE ROLE &amp; TEAM  We are looking for a Footwear expert who is passionate about creating high-quality products. The ideal candidate would enjoy collaborating with teams and the supplier base to develop innovative lifestyle products, taking it from its early concept and development stage through to industrialisation. The role also requires experience in QA and QC, as this is an all-encompassing role. You will be based in our Portugal office in Felguiras. WHAT YOU WILL DO In this proactive role, you will need to be flexible and detail-oriented. We appreciate forecasters who can spot early issues that could arise in production and remedy them during the development and industrialisation process. Strong communication skills in both English and Portuguese are required as you will be working closely with Design and Development teams based in London, as well as T1 and T2 vendors. Some insight into (some of) what you will oversee and be responsible for: <ul>
<li>Being the in-between London teams and T1 and T2 suppliers to ensure samples run on time and CP is followed </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Using technical skills and experience to problem solve and bring solutions to the table </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Manage day-to-day admin and information sharing, being a strong communicator is important as sharing information is a key part of the role </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Support in process from prototyping, RR, SMS and CFM sample stages. </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Understand technical materials, leathers, lining materials and compounds for outsoles and be able to apply to product development for new creation and also spot when something is suitable or find more suitable options for the success of projects </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Read blueprints and work with outsole suppliers, being the in-between the factory and outsole supplier to ensure things are developed accurately, but also ensure smooth working between the two in collaboration with the London team </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Take the new creations once signed off through the industrialisation process with the factories. </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Sign off on full size set </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Identify and escalate any issues to the sourcing and production manager /London team. </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Responsible for improvement to the product to ensure we launch the best product in line with brand requirements </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>QA- Be in contact with factory, review bulk materials and be involved in the early part of bulk production to be able to identify and safeguard any potential issues before too late </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Perform QC check in line with AQL standard </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Use Qarma for QC reports </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Travel to factories and AA offices </li>
</ul>ARE YOU THE ONE? This is a role for someone with experience in Footwear and outsole developments, industrialisation, QA and QC with a track record of successfully getting quality product to market. It is a hands-on role that requires excellent negotiation and communication abilities, underpinned by a strong teamwork ethic. <li>Experience with Asia production </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Experience in Global Brand. </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Excellent time management </li>

<li>Experience in developing outsoles </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic business environment  </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Experience in premium and/or luxury footwear </li>
</ul><ul>
<li>Ability to travel.  </li>
